This Project is a clinic based pediatrics program for new born babies up through 5 years of age. During a "well visit' the doctor explains the importance of reading to a child to help develop their brain, even before birth. The doctor gives the parent a book and a prescription for reading. When the child reaches 6 years of age, it should have a library of 12 books. Tyler has two Reach Out and Read sites. Volunteers are needed to read to children in the waiting room.
