Our Club signs a two year contract with "Adopt a Highway" and is responsible for two miles along FM 849. The manager gets bags and reflective vests fro the Adopt A Highway Coordinator in Mineola. Our Club picks up the litter on Texas Trash-Off Day and three other times per year identified by the Project Manager. The optimum number of volunteers needed each pick-up day is 18. They meet early on a Saturday morning to pick-up and bag the trash. Once the team completes the pick-up, the Adopt A Highway Coordinator is notified when the bags are ready for removal.
