The Flag Program is a unique program providing United States Flag and flag pole six times a year to all Hideaway residents who have subscribed. On the day before or the Friday before the designated flag days, Kiwanis members will put the flags out in front of approximately 1,100 homes. And, in turn on the day after the designated flag day, the members retrieve the flags and return them to storage.

There are two project managers for this project. The Administrative Project Manager solicits subscribers via ads in the HAWL NEWS newspaper, maintains the list of customers, prepares and does the billing and accounting. The Distribution Project Manager orders the flags, prepares the customer list for each of the 15 routes, recruits the 15 team captains who in turn recruit team members to help put out the flags.
