PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE FOR
MARCH 2008
The recent PAST MEMBERS REUNION DAY was a huge success and an event upon which
I have heard many favorable comments. Thanks Dennis, for all your hard work
and for making it an enjoyable day for all that attended. Thanks also to the
work crew that went to the Velma Penny Elementary School that was flooded & damaged
from the storm. I stood in awe as so many of our members responded and immediately
went to work cleaning, packing books, unpacking and helping teachers get their
new temporary classrooms set up. Those that I saw were Jerry Fennel, John Driver,
Bill Kashouty, Charles Boyd, Bob Harding, Wayne Jobe, Charlie Springman & Duwayne
Gandy. I know many others went at different times. I feel so fortunate to be
a part of a club that truly serves others.
